Tottenham Hotspur are looking to what they hope will be a bit of a firesale at Barcelona this summer to get their hands on David Villa

Andre Villas-Boas has noted the problems that his team has in front of goal, given how much they rely on Gareth Bale, so he will look to Barcelona to pick up a striker in what he hopes will be a mass exodus from the Camp Nou this summer.
Barcelona were humbled by Bayern Munich in the Champions League, and one of the players who will apparently be making way is David Villa.
According to Marca, Tottenham are hoping to pick up the Spanish international for around €8.5 million, but Barcelona were thinking of a figure closer to €14 million.
As a result, there’s clearly quite a bit of negotiation to be done on both sides, although Villa will definitely be headed to the Premier League in the summer, having been on the brink of a deal to move during the January window.
