These are troubling times indeed for Sunderland supporters and this specially created website really lays bare their current plight.

A website has been created – our educated guess would be by a smug Magpie – called thingsthathavemorepointsthansunderland.com. As you can probably guess, it does exactly what it says on the tin.

Someone may have had too much time on their hands, but if ever there was a game to give their season a lift – it certainly worked last campaign – then it is a derby match against their bitter neighbours.
