To celebrate the release of the new Iron Man 3 film (read the JOE review here), one English super-fan decided to take his love of the man-in-a-can to the next level and only went and built his own flippin’ suit.
We want to go to there.
By Eoghan Doherty
The incredibly-talented 17 year old downloaded 3D files from online costume forums, bought an old foam Halo suit and set about redesigning it to create an impressively realistic copy of the iconic suit from the film franchise.
Extra points for ensuring that the suit lights up and for the fact that so much detail has been put into its creation – just have a look at the battle-worn headpiece and the, ahmm, Tony Stark jeans clearly visible under the suit…
After taking weeks to build, the Stark wannabe wore it to the best place possible – his local screening of Iron Man 3. Let’s just hope he didn’t have to go to the toilet in the middle of the film.
We here at JOE have to admit that this effort sort of puts our Lone Ranger eye-mask to shame. It didn’t even have holes in it.
