Thanks to all of you wonderful, wonderful readers, JOE.ie reached the significant landmark of one million unique users in the last month. Aw shucks guys, thanks a whole lot.
Here at JOE we don’t like to brag – who are we kidding, we love it – but having reached the biggest milestone in the history of the site in the last couple of weeks, we felt the need to bring it to your attention and just say thanks to all of our readers for making JOE into the site it is today.
Last month, JOE finally broke a pretty big barrier in terms of traffic to the site, having attracted one million UNIQUE users to the site in one month for the first time since the launch of the site three years ago, a statistic that tells us that we remain the go-to site for Irish men and that makes us very happy indeed.
While it is an opportunity to shower a load of self-praise on our editorial team – they’re the lads pictured with owner Niall McGarry, Director Jerry Flannery and Creative Director Alan Metcalfe in the incredibly geeky-looking pictures above and below – none of this would have been possible without the help of you, the JOE readers, so take the time to give yourselves a hearty pat on the back and have a pint and send us the bill while you’re at it.*

Commenting on the landmark achievement, JOE owner Niall McGarry said: “We are delighted to be attracting 1,000,000 unique visitors to JOE.ie every month, the site only turns three next month, but the engagement from our audience has blown us away.
“Every day the JOE team create great content that the Irish male population seem to love, the visitor numbers and our social media community is continually expanding, so the hard work is paying off.
“Next month, we will re-launch the site with a completely new look and feel and #newJOE will be created in HTML 5 and have a responsive design, so matter how you’re viewing JOE, be it on a desktop, a laptop, tablet or smart phone, the site will automatically adjust to the device and display the content in its most optimised format.”
Far from getting all hung-up on our achievements to date and embarking on lives of drunkenness and debauchery, we at JOE are determined to go onto even greater things in the future, starting with #newJOE, the bigger and better version of the site which will be launched on June 6.
JOE.ie is part of the Maximum Media stable, which also owns and operates Her.ie, the first website dedicated solely to the Irish female audience, which only launched nine months ago and is now attracting almost half a million unique visitors a month itself.
So thanks again everyone and keep on reading the site, whether it’s at work, on the train or even on the jacks, keep on sending us brilliant content and spread the good word about the site so we can continue to get even bigger and even better long into the future.
This calls for a celebration…
