Having to have wine when you just want a beer is one of the worst situations for a man to get stuck in, but it happens. This is why New Zealand has come up with a way out.
A new advert for DB Export Dry shows how the Kiwi men managed to survive the wine craze in 1980s New Zealand. "It was 1987, and New Zealand was going off," booms the narrator, setting the hilarious tone for the rest of the advert.
The disastrous hair styles and eyesore clothes should have been enough punishment for the men in New Zealand during the 80s, but oh no, they had to drink wine. Gone was beer, with the recession and in was trying to look sophisticated with a wine glass - which is pretty difficult when you're sporting a mullet.
That's the basis for the advert, which ends with a great modern-day scene, probably better watched than explained.
