We don’t know to what job this mystery person is off to, but their new employer is getting one funny, and clever, person.
This ‘Out of Office’ message for a departing employee was posted on Reddit today and it is a work of stone-cold genius.
For a start, it is told by Troy McClure, one of the greatest ever Simpsons characters. It begins in typical Troy style with the line: You might remember me from such out of office messages as Going to a Doctor’s Appointment that is definitely not a job interview and Eek! Here’s a spider in my ear.
From there on you get all the usual Troy McClure tropes and a classic sign off.
