With Star Trek: Into Darkness opening soon in Ireland, Spock and Captain Kirk were keen to learn a cupla focail.

The mission of the lads aboard the Enterprise is to find out as much as they can about new cultures, so it made sense for two of the movie’s stars, Zachary Quinto and Chris Pine, who play Spock and Jim Kirk, to have a but of a cultural exchange and learn some Irish.
During the press junket for the new movie, TG4’s Colman Mac Sealaigh taught the two lads a cupla focail should they ever land on a Gaeltacht planet somewhere out there.
They to it like nobody’s business we have to say, and with a few more lessons they might get on well in the oral exams.
