With the launch of FIFA 14 today, here are their top 50 Irish players and some of the results will raise a few eyebrows.

The guys at COYBIG have compiled the list that not surprisingly sees Robbie Keane top of the pile, sharing a  rating of 79 with winger Aiden McGeady.

Also in the top 10 are the exiled Darron Gibson (4th) and Stephen Ireland (6th), while Giovanni Trapattoni might disagree with Wes Hoolahan sandwiched between the pair in fifth spot.

Further down the list we are surprised to see Everton’s Seamus Coleman just about squeeze into the top 20, with fellow defender Alex Pearce adjudged to be of a higher rating that the Donegal man. That in itself seems more baffling than some of Trap’s selection policies, likewise with Robbie Brady down in 24th position with Richard Keogh and Liam Lawrence looking down on the in-form Hull City man.

Kevin Doyle is in 25th position, Conor Sammon is 44th in the list, one spot ahead of David Myler. Paul Green just about squeezes into the top 50 with Wigan’s Chris McCann completing the list.

In case you are wondering, Joe Lapira who his one and only cap back in 2007 under Steve Staunton, does not feature on the list.

Here is the list in full for you to mull over.
