While incidents of crowd disturbances are fairly rare in Sweden, the game between Djurgarden and Mjallby was stopped when bottles and other items were thrown onto the pitch.

Djurgarden felt aggrieved when one of their players went down clutching his face, but their opponents played on and scored, which really irked the home supporters.

Mjallby defender Gbenga Arokoyo was then hit by an object, which he thought was a stone it was hit so hard, but it turned out to be a pear. Bottles adn other items were also thrown onto the pitch.

The referee decided to call the game off and if any bunch of supporters were likely to throw a pear, it would have to be Djur-garden’s.
