On the box tonight, we’ll be mostly watching live coverage of West Ham v Man United, a George Clooney thriller and some classic Alan Partridge.

This might be a somewhat obscure choice for some folk of a Wednesday evening, but Partridge fans can’t get enough of the classic episodes that pop up from time to time, particularly with a movie about the most awkward presenter in the media now in the works.
In tonight’s episode, Alan returns to the telly to present a military-based quiz show and shows off his new Ukrainian girlfriend.
Sporting Pick: Live Football Special, West Ham v Manchester United, Sky Sports 2, 7pm
With Manchester United virtually certain to pick up the title and West Ham as good as safe, this game isn’t as important as it might have been for matters at both ends of the table, but West Ham away has never been an easy fixture for the Red Devils and the two teams have delivered some cracking contests in the past.
Movie Pick: The American, RTE One, 9.30pm
Bend it like Beckham is on over on BBC One if you fancy having a look at Keira Knightley for a while, but for a more stimulating experience, The American is certainly worth a look on RTE One.
George Clooney stars as an assassin who, eager for some time off after a job gone wrong, decides to hole up in the Italian countryside, where his identity might not be as much of a secret as he thinks.
