While most of the ink in today’s papers is again dominated by three players who seem determined to drag their transfers out, there are some other comings and goings on the cards.

If you too are getting tired of Suarez, Bale and Rooney talk, then fear not, there are other players who look to be on their way too. And before we leave the distinguished trio, Wigan striker Grant Holt has told The Daily Star that the Red Devils should let the striker move on. So that should influence the United hierarchy then.

Speaking of United, remember Mame Biram Diouf? He played just a handful of games for United, but has seen his stock rise after turning in some impressive performances in Germany with Hannover 96. He has been linked with Stoke over the past few days, but a number of the papers have settled on a fee of £17 million. Yes, you read that right. £17 million. And someone said Gareth Bale was pricey. Anyway, with just one year left on his contract, we doubt he will fetch that lofty price.

And speaking of mis-fits, Stewart Downing looks likely to be on his way out of Liverpool, with West Ham the most likely destination. Despite a solid second half to last season, it is no secret that Brendan Rodgers is still not fully convinced by the England international, with The Sun saying a fee of £6 million with have him blowing bubbles with the Hammers.

And when you think of an Anfield mis-fit, the name Paul Konchesky immediately springs to mind. The hard-hitting full-back is a target for QPR according to The Sun and we can only imagine that Harry Redknapp reckons the Leicester man is a “top, top player” and would be a “traffic signing”.

Tottenham target Miralem Pjanic

The Daily Mail claims that Tottenham have made a £15 million move for Roma’s midfielder Miralem Pjanic. The Bosnian play-maker worked with Spurs Director of Football Franco Baldini while he was at the club and was an impressive performer in the Champions League for Lyon a couple of years ago, while the club is expected to announce the £8.6million signing of Etienne Capoue from Toulouse today.

Elsewhere Valencia are keen to sign either Demba Ba or Romelu Lukaku on loan as a replacement for Roberto Soldado (The Daily Mail), while the same paper suggests Scott Sinclair is wanted by West Brom, Everton and Newcastle, though no club has made an official bid.
