When Alessandro Del Piero and Emile Heskey, apparently one of the greatest players in the world, moved to Australia to ply their trade, it surprised a few people, but obviously they’d heard about the passion of some Australian fans.
Check out this video of fans of the Western Sydney Wanderers, who went mental after their team finished in first place this weekend after a match against Heskey’s Newcastle Jets.
It’s a pretty fantastic story for Wanderers, as they were a new entrant into the league this season, and couldn’t have asked for a better star to their existence than this.
We’ve seen plenty of versions of the Poznan, but this has to be one of the best. Still, it will take some beating to be as passionate as these Poznan fans who turned out in force at an Under 11s tournament a few years back. The video really kicks in around 1:20, and it’s definitely worth the wait.
