Only on Friday we brought you 50 of the worst open goal misses in football history but whenever they’re looking for new additions this one from Algeria will be right up at the top of the list. The man responsible for this particular crime against finishing is Ali Sami Yachir of MC Alger, who passed up a gilt-edged opportunity against CR Belouizdad after the ‘keeper decided to take a few too many touches and proceeded to fall over the ball in comical fashion. Yachir pounced on the loose ball and had the easy task of rolling the ball into the empty net until, well, you’ll probably have already seen what happens next. Sure Ali, it was the pitch’s fault.
