Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos revealed his plans for introducing an unmanned delivery drone service called Amazon Prime Air, which can deliver a package in 30-minutes.

Are you sick of waiting around all day for the delivery guy to show up, only for him to arrive with your package the moment your arse cheeks hit the toilet seat?

Well Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos revealed new company plans last night that could see waiting by the door becoming a thing of the past.

If the project gets up and running and gets the necessary approval from the FAA, then Amazon Prime Air will see packages being delivered as soon as 30-minutes from when the order is placed.

While it’s a pretty cool idea, Amazon certainly isn’t the first to experiment with unmanned delivery drones. Earlier in the year we brought you the news that Dominos was developing a ‘DomiCopter’, which was pretty much the same idea as Amazon Prime Air.

Here’s what it says on Amazon.com: “We’re excited to share Prime Air — something the team has been working on in our next generation R&D lab.

“The goal of this new delivery system is to get packages into customers’ hands in 30 minutes or less using unmanned aerial vehicles.

“Putting Prime Air into commercial use will take some number of years as we advance the technology and wait for the necessary FAA rules and regulations.”
