It’s not often that you see a right back score a goal that reminds you of Marco Van Basten…
Last night, while there were plenty of friendlies going on around Europe, perhaps the best goal came from the Danish Superliga, where Esbjerg beat AGF fairly handily 5-1.
However, the last of the goals, from right back Ankersen, is an absolute joy to behold, and we’re pretty sure it qualifies as a fairly special strike.
He gets on the end of a lovely dinked ball over the defender after a short corner, and takes the ball in his stride on his chest before rifling it home from a nearly impossible angle. Even Marco himself would have been proud of that one.
