Coachella is America’s Electric Picnic. Held in California since 1999 it is a three day music and arts festival that attracts some of the biggest bands in the world (this year the Stone Roses, Blur and Red Hot Chilli Peppers) as well as a fairly high quotient of too-cool-for-school music fans.
The Jimmy Kimmel show decided to see if they could fool some of the attendees with some fake band names. Would they admit to never hearing of them or would they pretend to have been lifelong fans?
All the ones we see in this video go for the latter. The interviewer does throw in real band Two Door Cinema Club but we’re pretty sure they never released an album called DJ Cornmeal. As cringey a video as you’ll ever see.
