There are fewer things more embarrassing for a station yet more hilarious for the viewer than porn being broadcast in the background of a serious news report, as happened in Greece recently.
We have no insight into the goings on at Greek TV station ET3, but we’re pretty sure one or a number of people have been fired after some fairly explicit pornographic scenes were broadcast in the background of a serious news report on the station.
While the porn in the background is quite clearly visible to the naked (ooh matron) eye, we are left in no doubt as to what’s going on when the person recording the embarrassing cock-up (steady) decides to zoom in on the screen in the background, where nothing is left to the imagination.
It turns out that the scenes were from an x-rated film being shown on ET3’s sister station ET1 at the same time so obviously somebody forgot to check the schedules to ensure that what was on was suitable for the many thousands no doubt tuning into catch up on the daily news. Not that it would have caused the male demographic to instantly change the channel, mind.
Well that was, eh, awkward.
