England wasn’t the only place where there was hooliganism this weekend, as a feline football fan invaded the pitch in the Netherlands.

This game in the Dutch Eredivisie between Heracles Almelo and F.C. Groningen came to a bit of a paws on the weekend after a cat invaded the pitch.
The players looked pretty surprised to see the cat, but the break might have been purrfectly timed to give the Groningen lads a bit of a rest, as with the game level at 0-0, they went on to score two goals which proved to be the difference on the night. There was only a whisker in it, as they say.
The cat certainly seems to have real pace down the (fe)line, and if they sign him, they’ll have to make sure there’s a good sell-on claws in his contract.
No news yet on who the cat belongs to, and whether or not this will be his last appearance at a game, but it would certainly be a shame if this puss were to hang up the boots so early in his career.
Insert extra cat joke.
