Video: Commentators go crazy as Pohang Steelers win South Korean league with last-gasp almighty goalmouth scramble

It’s already being compared to Sergio Aguero’s title-clinching goal from two seasons ago, but if it’s possible, this was arguably even more dramatic.

Like Manchester City on the final day of the 2011/12 season, Pohang Steelers needed a win to secure the K-League Classic title yesterday, but, lying in second place before the start of play yesterday, they had to travel away from home to face top of the table Ulsan Hyundai in a winner-takes all clash.

The game lived up to expectations and then some, or at least the end of the game did as with the game still goalless four minutes into stoppage time, Pohang loaded players into the box for a free-kick and after the almightiest of almighty goalmouth scrambles, Kim bundled the ball into the net for the goal that sealed the title for the Steelers.

If the last-minute drama was great, the commentary was even better, with one of the commentators roaring incomprehensible babble for a good ten seconds before the goal was scored and both of them going absolutely crazy when it hit the back of the net.

Just great… apart from everyone associated with Ulsan Hyundai, of course.
