Egan is currently on loan from the Blues from Sunderland and he’ll have been hoping that Gus Poyet was keeping tabs on his progress during their encounter with Scunthorpe United last night. The Cork native helped claw the Blues recover from a two-goal deficit to grab a share of the spoils with a thumping strike from over 30 yards that flew over the ‘keeper and into the net at a ridiculous speed. More than any other effort we’ve seen in a long time, this one is definitely worthy of some Alan Partridge commentary.
