Sturridge says he’s “gutted” not to be bringing the Premier League trophy to Anfield.
The Liverpool striker has had an excellent first full season at the club, capping off a prolific season with the winner against Newcastle on the final day.
However, Sturridge, speaking with arms folded to LFC TV, said that he is not happy with how the season petered out and would be doing everything in his power to bring the club’s first league win in 25 years to Merseyside next year.
Steven Gerrard, meanwhile, believes that he will win the league with the only club he has ever played despite the fact that he turns 34 later this month.
