Djimi Traore is a man transformed in the US. Ridiculed for his performances for Liverpool, he is carving an altogether different reputation in the States.

Signed by the Seattle Sounders earlier in the year after a successful trial, he got off to a great start with this stunning strike in the CONCAF Champions League back in March that set the Sounders on their way to victory.
This week he grabbed a goal four minutes into injury time as Seattle picked up a valuable three points on the road at Kansas, much to the delight of the supporters and his fellow teammates
“It’s an airshot in the box,” the co-commentator informs us as Traore uses the opportunistic poaching skills we never knew he had.
