It looks like Falcao may miss the World Cup this summer after suffering a serious injury while playing for Monaco in the Coupe de France.
The 27-year-old was stretchered off the field in the clash against Chasselay having opened the scoring just before the half-hour mark.
However, he was left writhing in agony and holding his leg after a challenge four minutes before the break, and immediately called for medical attention.

While it is too early to tell the severity of Falcao’s injury, it comes as a major blow to both Monaco – who sit second in Ligue Un behind Paris Saint Germain – and Colombia, whose chances in Brazil will be massively affected by the loss of their best player.
It also means that a move away from Monaco, where he is rumoured to have fallen out with coach Claudio Ranieri, will not be possible until the summer at the earliest.
