Video: How Hawk-Eye will work in the Premier League next season

This video may not be the most exciting we’ve ever posted, but it will answer all your Hawk-Eye related questions.

It was confirmed today that the Premier League will – finally – introduce goal-line technology. From next August there will be no more Roy Carroll scrambles, and subsequent controversies, at least in the Premier League.

Despite the equipment, seven cameras, being installed in every ground, they will have to be switched off for Champions League and the Europa League games as Uefa have still not agreed to their use, though they surely can’t hold out for much longer.

Anyway, it’s one less thing to complain about though we still have offsides, diving, two-footed tackles, racism, those extra officials on the goal-line, deliberate hand balls, accidental hand balls, referees in general, Fergie-time and about a million other things to debate post-game so we won’t be stuck for something to talk about down the pub.
