Video: In case you missed Kazakhstan’s cracking goal last night

OK, so it went in at the wrong end, but it’s hard not to appreciate the quality of Kazakhstan’s opener at the Aviva Stadium last night.

OK, so it went in at the wrong end, but it was hard not to appreciate the quality of Kazakhstan’s opener at the Aviva Stadium last night.

Ireland weren’t behind for long, but for a brief few minutes the visitors held what was a shock lead thanks to arguably the best strike seen in an international match at the Aviva Stadium to date.

It was scored by Dmitriy Shomko, who popped up on the left hand side of the area after 13 minutes and rattled home an absolute screamer into the top corner that wouldn’t have been stopped even if there were ten David Fordes standing in the goalmouth.

What a strike.
