If you try to deceive someone for personal gain then you deserve all the bad karma that's coming your way, just like this guy in San Francisco.

If you try to deceive someone for personal gain then you deserve all the bad karma that’s coming your way, just like this guy in San Francisco.

If you lose your iPhone then you might be able to retrace your steps thank to the Find My iPhone function. Unless of course, the person that found your phone managed to disable the function and then demands $180 to get it back. That’s exactly what happened to one San Francisco resident recently, but she wasn’t going to give in to the scumbag’s demands that easily.

Here’s what it says on YouTube: “A friend of mine dropped her phone. This guy found it, and demanded $180 to get it back after disabling ‘Find My iPhone’. The police agreed to set up the sting.

“The guy you see from the back in the hat is the undercover cop. He goes to pay the guy and the three others move in. Especially notice the one flick out his baton.”

We wonder if that many Gardaí would turn up if you told them your iPhone was nicked here in Ireland. Then again, would you want that many to turn up in the first place… seems like a bit of a waste?
