Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville are never afraid of taking each other down a peg on Monday Night Football and Man United’s recent run provided Carragher with ample opportunity to do just that last night.
Last night saw the welcome return of Monday Night Football for the first time in a few weeks and perhaps refreshed by the break (even though the pair of them have been pretty busy over the Christmas), Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville were in flying form during the coverage of Arsenal’s victory over Aston Villa.
Man United’s poor run of form (three defeats on the bounce) inevitably came up and Carragher didn’t turn down the chance to mention the fact that he had watched those games in Gary’s company and found it a rather enjoyable experience, joking that “You can’t buy moments like that”.
Neville and Carragher also went onto talk about the choice of Cristiano Ronaldo as the Ballon d’Or winner at last night’s ceremony in Zurich, with the pair of them agreeing that it was fully deserved.
