It goes without saying that Joey Barton does some very interesting things and that he’s constantly full of surprises. Whether he’s speaking in a random faux French accent or quoting philosophy on his Twitter account, there’s never a dull moment, but this latest one might take the cake.
He scored a great free kick yesterday to earn QPR a point away to Reading, but instead of that making most of the headlines, his strange incident with Danny Guthrie is getting all the attention.
As Guthrie is down receiving treatment, Joey Barton casually wanders over, throws his bottle of water in between Guthrie’s legs, and then uses his boot to try and give the physio a bit of a helping hand. Strange barely covers it…
