We’re guessing that somebody may have gotten fired for this…

Malta took on Slovakia in an international friendly on Thursday night, but it wasn’t the action on the pitch that was the talking point of the match.

Bizarrely, when the teams lined up for the Maltese national anthem, the person in charge of the stadium speakers played the unmistakeable start to Linkin Park’s famous song “Numb”, much to the amusement of the players and fans alike.

Previously we brought you our favourite awful versions of the American national anthem, but is this blunder the biggest national anthem blunder in the history of sport?
