While it is hardly surprising news that Man City are expected to splash the cash this summer, Brazilian midfielder Fernandinho said to be top of the wish list.

Roberto Mancini is expected to flash the cash this summer, or whoever will be in charge at the Etihad, with the Shakhtar midfielder thought to be at the top of their shopping list.
The Guardian says that talks are at a preliminary stage with the 27 year-old who still has three years to run on his current deal. He joined Brazilian as a 20 year-old in 2005 and City will have to stump up at least £17 million for his services.
While he is considered a defensive midfielder, he offers far more dynamism than just a holding midfielder and is known for his box-to-box style, as Chelsea fans can testify to this season in the Champions League when he got on the scoresheet after this surging run.
With Gareth Barry having just 12 months left on his contract, Citeh are looking to invest in another midfield option to compliment Yaya Toure and could be shrewd move for the club.
Fernandinho also has five international caps for Brazil to his name and would add to the competition in the midfield department at Eastlands.
