Spain’s Marcos Senna grabbed a fantastic goal to give the New York Cosmos their first title since their reformation
One of the most iconic names in North American soccer is without doubt the New York Cosmos, and this weekend they lifted their first trophy since they reformed in 2010 and returned to the game in the North American Soccer League.
The man who got the winning goal in the final with this brilliant strike was none other than Marcos Senna of Spain, who can add the NASL medal to his Euro 2008 gold too.
He was also held aloft by fans and players after the win, which ended up drawing a few similarities with another player born in Brazil who played for the Cosmos, some guy by the name of the Pele.

We reckon it won’t take too long for you to spot the similarities.
