Referee Mark Clattenburg went a bit red when he couldn’t find his cards at the Madejski earlier today.

We’ve all shouted the odd time at the ref that he must have lost his cards after a particularly poor tackle goes unpunished, but in this case, Mark Clattenburg actually doesn’t have his cards on him.
It’s a pretty bizarre incident considering how much preparation you imagine a ref puts into a game beforehand, you would imagine that after the whistle, the cards would be the next thing on the list to bring.
It also makes us pretty suspicious that Clattenburg might be the lad who “forgets his wallet” when it’s his round at the pub.
This may have been the highlight of a 0-0 draw between Reading and Liverpool, although Alex McCarthy put in an incredible performance in the Reading goal that really grabbed everyone’s attention and had the fans singing his name. Here’s hoping he has an Irish granny with a last name like that…
