Video: Neville, Beckham and Scholes remember the 1999 season in the latest Class of ’92 clip
Gary Neville remembers making one mistake. Paul Scholes remembers him making quite a lot of mistakes.
The much anticipated Class of ’92 documentary hits cinema screens this weekend and if early reports are anything to go by, it should be a hit with sports fans and particularly Manchester United fans for obvious reasons.
In the run-up to its release, a number of teaser clips have been released and the latest one features Gary Neville, David Beckham and Paul Scholes at Old Trafford discussing their first goals at the stadium and a particularly important FA Cup victory over Liverpool in the Treble-winning season of 1999.
As you might expect, Neville dominates the conversation and elaborates upon a mistake he made which led to Michael Owen opening the scoring for the visitors, a mistake which Neville blamed Beckham for and which Scholes jibes was one of many made by the former United and England right-back.
It’s only a brief insight into what one can expect from the documentary but should help whet the appetite for United fans ahead of the release this weekend.
