Video: Oscar scored a beaut and John Terry was the victim of a rotten tackle in Chelsea’s friendly with Inter last night

You don’t normally expect much excitement from a pre-season friendly, but the Chelsea and Inter players appeared to be doing more than just going through the motions in Indianapolis last night.

Jose Mourinho’s new boys were taking on his old club in the Guinness Internationals Champions Cup Stateside last night and ended up relatively comfortable 2-0 winners thanks to an early strike from Oscar and a penalty from Eden Hazard midway through the first half.

For a man that has played pretty much non-stop since joining Chelsea, Oscar seemed in decent nick last night and delivered an exquisite finish after being set up by Victor Moses to put the Blues into the lead.

With Hazard doubling Chelsea’s lead soon after, Mourinho’s side were cruising for a long part of the contest but things heated up a little in the second half when Hugo Campagnaro was given his marching orders for a nasty stamp on John Terry just short of the hour mark.

Terry mightn’t be the most popular player by any means but it’s hard to argue that Campagnaro went to ‘do’ him in this instance with a stamp above the ankle that left Terry writhing in agony on the turf; you can clearly hear his roar of anguish immediately after the tackle was made.

Ouch.
