It hasn’t been an easy season for Scottish Division Two side East Fife, but if this brilliant interview is anything to go by, it isn’t because of a lack of passion from manager Billy Brown.
With all due respect to everyone involved, we normally wouldn’t have much interest in matters in Division Two football in Scotland; that is until we stumbled across a brilliant post-match interview delivered by East Fife manager Billy Brown following his side’s 2-1 defeat to Stenhousemuir on Saturday.
With his charges languishing second from bottom in the league, Brown has a lot on his plate at the moment and amid reports that he used the stadium announcer’s microphone to blast the fans for not getting behind the team at half-time, it seemed as if he has been letting the club’s plight get to him.
If anyone doubted his motivation for the job, however, he soon dispelled those doubts with a quite brilliant post-match interview given to the club’s in-house camera crew following the game on Saturday, in which his passion was clear for all to see.
We’re not quite sure why Brown had to keep walking back and forth to get his point across and we lost count of the amount of times he said the word ‘struggling’ but the addition of the Braveheart background music is an excellent addition to an already brilliant speech.
If that doesn’t have the East Fife lads running through walls for the rest of the season, we don’t know what will.
