The season for World Cup ads is kicking into high gear, and this effort from Pepsi is one of the best
As we gear up for the World Cup in just over two months time, we can expect to see a whole pile of companies getting in on the act and bringing their special edition ads out starring all sorts of celebs.
Pepsi have decided to jump on the bandwagon this week with an interactive ad featuring some of the biggest names in world football, from Lionel Messi to Kun Aguero and Sergio Ramos, but that’s not the only thing they’ve done.
The ad itself is interactive, and if you click on the intro, you can head over to the Pepsi site where you’ll be guided through the ad with a few more surprises, from seeing what happens to Messi when you click on the paper he’s reading to getting an autographed ball from Sergio Ramos.
While the ad features plenty of stars that will be at the tournament in Brazil, there’s no official mention of it nor are they wearing their team shirts, since Pepsi are not a full sponsor. Coke are though, so keep an eye out for their big ad soon enough, which will presumable be a fairly extravagant number.
