It is a remarkable own goal, and resulted in Peruvian player Renzo Reanos apologising on Twitter for his shocker at the weekend.
Union Comercio lost the Premera Division clash with Universitario 1-0, and when you see the goal they conceded, well you can understand why Reanos won’t have felt too clever about his clearance attempt.
The defender took to Twitter to claim responsibility for the defeat – no arguments here – and to apologise to his team mates and supporters.
“I feel very bad. It was my fault we lost today. I want to say sorry to my team mates and to all the people of Union,” he said.
