Video: Puerto Rican news anchor caught blabbering hilariously live on air

This week we were reminded of how dangerous it can be to be picked up saying something when you didn’t think the mic was turned on, but this guy in Puerto Rico shows us that it can be damn hilarious too.

In a week where US newsreader AJ Clemente was fired after the first words he was heard to say in his new job were ‘fu**ing shit’, you’d think that fellow members of his profession would be even more aware of the need to be careful what you say around microphones, even when you think that they are switched off and the cameras have stopped rolling.

Thankfully for those of us who enjoy live news bloopers, this guy in Puerto Rico didn’t get the memo and was caught in a fit of hilarious blabbering live on air.

It’s hard to describe it really but if you had to, you could say it  was like a combination of the hilarious rant by Steve Carell’s character in Bruce Almighty and Ron Burgundy’s preparatory tactics prior to going live on air in Anchorman (see both clips below).

We prefer Ron’s ‘Unique, New York’ and ‘The human torch was denied a bank loan’ approach but hey, you’ve got to go with whatever works for yourself, right?
