A Dutch player can be thankful that the referee in question has a good sense of humour after being hacked down with a two-footed lunge.

Of course the challenge by RKC Waalwijk’s Jeff Stan in the Dutch Eredivisie does appear entirely accidental and was a case of poor timing more than anything, but he still slides through to put the man in the middle on the ground.
The referee seemed to take the whole thing in good spirits, with some even speculating that he made the most of the challenge.
