Video: Remember the Greek kids that scored that unbelievable team goal? They’ve scored a better one

Remember the Greek youth team that scored a ridiculously good team goal earlier this year? They were at it again recently, except this time they finished it off with a bicycle kick.

While youth football – at least in some places – used to be all about giving it to the biggest man and letting him run through and around the opposition, the people in charge these days seem to be endeavouring to get the next generation playing the right way.

We’ve seen the Barcelona youngsters score some great goals in recent times, but we’d love to see the kids from AO Giannina take them on such is their apparent mastery of the possession game that resulted in this brilliant goal earlier in the year and a goal that was equally as good, if not better, in recent days.

On this occasion, the lads got to play on a better (if slightly waterlogged) Astroturf surface and the accuracy and inventiveness of their passing was as good as ever.

Virtually every player – including the ‘keeper, who pulled out a Cruyff turn or two – got a touch as they kept the ball for over a minute from the kick-off and finished off the move with a bicycle kick from the number ten to put the finishing touches to a team goal that you’ll go a long way to see bettered all year.
