Video: Robbie Keane scores injury time goal for LA Galaxy and forgets how to celebrate properly

Keane was on target in LA Galaxy's 1-1 with Portland Timber in the MLS...

JOE

Keane bagged his fifth goal of the MLS season last night as LA Galaxy drew 1-1 with Portland Timbers in a drama-filled end to the game in Oregon.

The Republic of Ireland captain thought he’d given Galaxy all three points when he headed home from close range after some defending you wouldn’t see in five-a-side astro turf pitches across Ireland. The golden rule of defending is never let the ball bounce, the Timbers centre half clearly didn’t get the memo and Keane pounced (see below).

However, Timbers woodn’t (sorry) give up and their Argentinian star Diego Valeri slotted home to secure a point for the home side.

What about Robbie’s celebration… It’s in a word, enthusiastic, but we miss the old cartwheel, role, and bow and arrow, bring it back Rob!

LA Galaxy are 3rd from bottom in the Western Conference with just 9 points from 7 games, Keane and co are on the road again this Saturday when they take on Houston Dynamo.
