Roy Keane thinks the Manchester United players are to blame for David Moyes’ departure as manager, saying that some of them ‘should be ashamed of themselves’.

Speaking on ITV ahead of the first leg of the Champions League semi-final between Atletico Madrid and Chelsea, Keane said: “I think it’s a shame, I think he (Moyes) should have been given more time.

Some of the players should be ashamed of themselves, they really let him down.”

Despite his acrimonious relationship with former manager Sir Alex Ferguson, Keane felt that he shouldn’t be blamed for recommending Moyes and reserved most of his ire for the players who have performed poorly throughout the Scot’s tenure at the club.

Typically blunt stuff from Roy, but was he right? Feel free to let us know in the comment box below.
