John O’Shea’s last gasp equaliser against Germany last night will live long in the memory and RTE captured the euphoria of last night beautifully with this brilliant German version of David Bowie’s classic tune, ‘Heroes’.
A last minute equaliser away to the World Champions is the stuff of dreams and for it to be scored by a loyal player who has made 100 appearances for the national side, well that’s just ramping up the nostalgia and feel-good factor.
