Celtic skipper Scott Brown was sent off for kicking out at Neymar during the Hoops’ clash with Barcelona this evening but did he deserve the card or was it harsh?
Brown chopped down the flying Brazilian during the Champions League encounter at Celtic Park but after the ball was gone he appeared to aim a slight kick in the direction of Neymar’s arm while he was on the ground.
The referee instantly issued Brown with a red card, much to the derision of the home faithful who don’t have the benefit of a replay, but the initial reaction on Twitter seemed to be mixed between those who agreed with the decision and those who felt that it was harsh and not in any way helped by Neymar’s somewhat inevitably theatric reaction.
