After their 4-0 demolition last night, it’s no surprise that the Spanish press are trying to find a reason for Barcelona’s defeat.

The Spanish press, especially those based in Catalunya, have been inconsolable after Barcelona got a real hammering from Bayern Munich last night in the Champions League.

Straight after the game, their attention turned to finding some sort of explanation for the poor performance of the La Liga giants, and the referee’s performance came under close scrutiny.

Both the press and assistant coach Jordi Roura are claiming that three of the four goals were fouls or offside, while Roura added that they have had no luck in this year’s tournament with refereeing decisions.

For the first goal, they claim that Dante fouled Alves by jumping on him, for the second they claim that Mario Gomez was offside, and for the third Muller deliberately body checks Jordi Alba who’s trying to get back and challenge Robben.

All the goals are in the highlights here so you can judge for yourself.

So what do you think, do Barcelona have a case or are they clutching at straws having been beaten by a superior team?
