Many of you might have been too scared to look outside the window, but there was some pretty spectacular lightning over the skies in Ireland last night.
With the temperatures reaching dizzying highs in Ireland over the last couple of weeks and humidity levels also reaching far higher levels than usual, there was always a chance that we were going to get a few thunderstorms sooner rather than later and they duly arrived last night.
Sure, it’s not nice to be out in that kind of weather but it can be fascinating to look from an indoor vantage point and the videos below from Dublin and Kilkenny give an indication of the sort of lightshow that people not scared by the elements were treated to late last night.
