Seanie Fitzpatrick, the former top man at Anglo Irish Bank, appeared in court today. A few of the bystanders had a word or two for him outside.
After being arrested in Dublin Airport this morning, former Anglo Irish Bank chief Sean Fitzpatrick was arrested on charges of providing unlawful financial assistance and brought to Dublin District Court this morning.
Fitzpatrick did not speak during the eight-minute hearing and he will back in front of the judge on October 8, if you want to book the day off to head down.
But in the vast media scrum around his exit from court today, a few bystanders managed to shout a few words at him. We think he probably got away lightly.
Hat-tip to 98FM for getting the video and sticking it up.
Update: A second video of Seanie's exit has emerged and this time he gets some support shouted through the window of his taxi. A nearby Guard soon shoos the unlikely Seanie fan away with a classic one-liner.
Hat-tip to Hugh O'Connell from The Journal for posting the video to YouTube.
