Kaizer Chiefs centre-half Morgan Gould took matters into his own hands last Saturday when he floored his opponent. And the reaction is far less low-key than you would imagine.

The Chiefs beat Bidvest Wits 2-1, though perhaps their opponents were left a little intimidated after this incident right in front of the nose of the referee, with Wits striker Getaneh Kebede left in a heap on the ground.

Remarkably, the international didn’t even receive a yellow card for his smack, perhaps he would argue it was more a case of ‘fist-to-face’. Not even Kebede’s team-mates seemed too perturbed by the incident.

Lee Bowyer and Kieron Dyer will wonder how they received such a lengthy ban back in the day.
