We’ve had some good ones, but this effort by Noel McInerney really hits the spot.
For our money, all the best GAA songs manage to mention almost the entire panel and this song by Noel McInerney nails that, and he doesn’t resort to just listing them off either.
But that’s not the only reason this is a cracker. For one, it’s a really catchy tune, for two it manages to work in the Hawk-Eye controversy and, most importantly, Noel pulls off a belting Roy Keane impersonation mid song.
If you’re not from Cork, this song might be reason enough to cheer for the Banner on September 8.
