In the end, it didn’t matter. But Cavan’s Eugene Keating will probably never live down the unbelievable goal chance he spurned against London at Croke Park on Saturday.
With the ball laid to him on a plate by Martin Dunne, Keating had nothing put three yards of fresh air between him and the back of the net.
Sadly for Keating, he contrived to hit the post, earning himself the title of miss of the GAA season for sure.
At least Cavan won comfortably over London in the end but a week of slagging in training is ahead for the Saint Sylvesters man.
